U-Pave completed Phase 1 of the pavement works as part of the new build, delivering fully constructed pavement sections from subgrade preparation through granular base placement and the installation of the bottom asphalt lift. Distinct pavement designs were constructed for light-duty areas, heavy-duty access routes, play areas, and municipal road tie-ins, each tailored to its intended loading and use.
All work was completed in accordance with project drawings and specifications, providing a stable, traffic-ready foundation and setting the stage for final surface paving in a subsequent phase.
Scope of Work Summary
- Subgrade preparation to design depths for all pavement classifications
- Supply, placement, and compaction of granular base courses by use area
- Application of prime coat prior to asphalt placement
- Supply, placement, and compaction of bottom asphalt lift
- Site reconciliation and cleanup
A structurally complete pavement system constructed to the bottom asphalt lift, suitable for interim construction traffic and access only. The pavement provides a stable, durable base while protecting the underlying structure until final surface lifts are placed.
Final acceptance will be achieved following completion of Phase 2, which includes placement of the final asphalt surface courses.
